Coroika Futures

Coroika Futures is a future AU of the Splatoon manga focusing on the adult life of the manga cast, along with some of their children. It began development in December 2022 after the creation of a Google Docs focusing on logging additional information of the Splatoon manga cast. Its release date is currently unknown.

Setting

The alternate universe is set in the continuity of the Splatoon manga. It follows the adventures of Goggles and his friends as they deal with the trials and tribulations of adulthood, all the while the new generation tackles Turf War in their own, fresh way.

A ton of elements from the manga are used in this alternate universe, but parts of it are canon divergent, where characters have more developed lore and backstory. The original lore document is listed here.

Characters

Main Characters
Goggles	Goggles is the captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. His attire consists of the Pilot Goggles, the Cap of Legend, Hero Headset, Cuttlefish's former outfit, and sandals. He has scars on his "Topknot" hairstyle. He is more mature than he used to be, but is still as optimistic as ever.
Specs	Specs is the former leader of the original Team Blue. He wears his namesake, the Retro Specs, along with an unnamed suit and tie, as well as the Dark-Roast Boaties. His current profession is working as a teacher for an unknown high school.
Bobble Hat	Bobble Hat is a former member of the original Team Blue. She wears the Bobble Hat, an unnamed hoodie, and Blue Slip-Ons. She is married to Mask and has a son named Occhi.
Headphones	Headphones is the former co-leader of the now-disbanded Team Blue. Her attire consists of the Studio Headphones, an unnamed sports jersey, shorts, and the Tenya OctoReds. Her current profession is unknown.
Pai	Pai is Goggles' younger sister and Agent 3 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. She sports the "Hipster" hairstyle, the Paisley Bandana (which she wears on her head), the Hero Mindset, Hero Suit, and Hero Boots. She is under the guidance of Agent 4, Skull, and wields the Hero Charger.
Princess	Princess is the leader of Team Monarch and the daughter of Emperor and Desi. She sports a hairstyle reminiscent of the "Banger" style, navy romper overalls, magenta shirt, and the Pearlescent Squidkid IVs.

Supporting Characters
Rider	Rider is the owner of the Ammo Knights in Inkopolis Square. His attire consists of the "Topknot" hairstyle, an unnamed outfit and boots. He gets pranked by the youth, much to his chagrin, but he's extremely knowledgeable on every weapon and special. He is married to Goggles and keeps all of the postcards he gets sent.
Skull	Skull is Agent 4 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, taking up the position from Gloves. He is the mentor of Pai and trains her on how to use Charger weapons. He is Headphones' ex, as they broke up due to the troubles of long distance relationships.
Emperor	Emperor is the CEO of Enperry. He is married to Desi and has a daughter named Princess. His attire consists of a hairstyle reminiscent of the "Hipster" haircut, the Eminence Cuff, a gold wedding band, an unnamed business suit and shoes.
Mask	Mask is the former leader of Team Cyan. His attire consists of the "Topknot" hairstyle, Gas Mask, unnamed clothing and shoes. He is married to Bobble Hat and has a son named Occhi. His occupation is currently unknown.
Gloves	Gloves is the former leader of the now-disbanded Team Gloves. His attire consists of the "Slick" hairstyle, unnamed clothing and footwear. He is the boyfriend of Headphones. His occupation is currently unknown.
Army	Army is the former leader of Team Orange. His attire consists of the Special-Forces Beret, an unnamed outfit, and the Punk Cherries. His occupation is currently unknown.
Aloha	Aloha is the former leader of Team Pink. His attire consists of the "Hipster" hairstyle, Golf Visor, Aloha Shirt, and the BlobMob Flip-Flops. He works at a youth organization, where he teaches children how to surf.
Prinz	Prinz is the former leader of Team Newperor. His attire consists of the the Eminence Cuff, an unnamed outfit, and Milky Enperrials. He is in a relationship with Laceless. His occupation is currently unknown.
Hachi	Hachi is a supporting character in Coroika Futures. His attire consists of the Squidlife Headphones, an unnamed shirt, and Suede Gray Lace-Ups. His occupation is currently unknown.
Desi	Desi is the wife of Emperor and mother of Princess. She sports the "Banger" hairstyle, an unnamed dress, gold wedding band, and pink pearl earrings. Formerly an Enperry model, she has since retired and stays at home.
Occhi	Occhi is the son of Bobble Hat and Mask. He sports the "Topknot" hairstyle, the Octoglasses, Octo Support Hoodie, and Red Power Stripes. He is part of Team Monarch and is close friends with its members.

Plot Summary

20 years has passed since Team Blue's exploration of the Splatlands, and the team has since disbanded. However, a new generation of kids have succeeded their adventures and are aiming to be the freshest cephalings in town. Follow the adventures of both the old and new generation as they go through their journeys of self discovery and life shenanigans!
