:How related does OC here have to be to an existing media franchise though? After a certain point it's more like making canon for something you created. It could be considered fanon of fanon, but that seems a little bit like a stretch (also the [[Fanon Wiki:scope policy|scope policy]] is still technically considered a draft). {{User:PinkYoshiFan/sig}} 11:48, 6 November 2022 (UTC)

::Well, I remember talking at length about allowing for OC content, So this would fall under OC:. That coverage policy seems to have either been made before it was decided to allow OC, or Soprano was in error. Either way, the prevailing attitude I think we should have is a generous policy on allowing a myriad of content, so we don't turn away potential editors. {{User:Wraith/sig}} 21:14, 6 November 2022 (UTC)

How related does OC here have to be to an existing media franchise though? After a certain point it's more like making canon for something you created. It could be considered fanon of fanon, but that seems a little bit like a stretch (also the scope policy is still technically considered a draft).
