Blaze of Revenge (move)

Blaze of Revenge (Japanese: ブレイズのリベンジ Blaze of Revenge) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in the ninth generation. It is the signature move of Houndour and Houndoom.

Blaze of Revenge deals damage.

Despite being a Dark-type move, the damage dealt is actually a combination of Dark and Fire types, and thus its effectiveness against a given Pokémon differs from other Fighting-type moves. However, for all other purposes, it is a Dark-type move: only Dark-type Pokémon can receive the same-type attack bonus on Blaze of Revenge, it is unaffected by items like the Flame Plate and Fire Gem, and it will not activate the target's Occa Berry (but will activate Colbur Berry even in cases where a regular Dark-type move would not deal supereffective damage).

If Blaze of Revenge is used while under the effect of Electrify or Normalize, damage is calculated using Flying type and Electric or Normal type modifiers instead.
