Fanon Wiki:Discord
Discord is a free real-time chat service available as a desktop app, mobile app, and/or website. It has a few functions, most importantly "servers", which are groups of channels dedicated to certain topics. Fanon Wiki has a server dedicated to wiki matters. It can be joined by following this link (account required). The server has various roles for staff, which are only given to wiki staff.
Categories
Server
Channels in this category are #rules, #report, #moderator-only, #modlog, and #pronouns. These channels allow members to view the rules, guidelines, and information about the server, but #pronouns is the only channel that allows members to pick their preferred pronouns.
Text channels
Channels in this category are #announcements, #welcome-introductions, #general, #art-music, #bot, #fanon-showcase, #hacks, #memes, and #staff. General chatrooms where any member is welcome to chat, except #announcements and #staff, which are inaccessible by default and hidden from other members of the server who do not have permission to access them.
Project
Channels in this category are #wiki-general, #wiki-suggestions, #wiki-tech-support, and #fanon-wiki-rc. These channels are dedicated to topics pertaining to Fanon Wiki. #fanon-wiki-rc is an-only viewing channel displaying the most recent changes to the wiki.
Subwiki
Channels in this category are #pikmin-fanon, which is the only channel dedicated to topics pertaining to our subsidiary, Pikmin Fanon. And #pikmin-fanon-rc is, an-only viewable channel displaying the most recent changes on Pikmin Fanon.
Archive
Channels in this category are #miraheze-draft-test-archive, #wiki-aesthetics-archive, #wiki-outreach-archive, and #wiki-policy-archive. These archived channels contain past discussions with topics pertaining to the development of Fanon Wiki.
Rules
- No publishing of personal information (including real names, addresses, emails, passwords, bank accounts, credit card information, etc.).
- No personal attacks.

- No offensive language/cursing.
- No offensive discussions (including religious, political, and sexual).
- No flirting.
- No dating.
- No flaming or flame wars.
- Agree to disagree.
- No trolling.
- No spamming.
- Speak English only, and if you don't, provide an English translation thereafter.
- No solicitation.
- No excessive messaging (breaking up an idea in many posts instead of writing it all out in just one post).
- No walls of text (either in separate posts or as a single post).
- No CAPS LOCK.
- No overusing emojis or reactions.

- Note that server admins are present to kick or ban unruly users. A kick should be taken as a warning, and kicked users may rejoin the server straight away, while a ban will be given for repeated disregard for the guidelines and make it impossible to rejoin for a period of time.
- Keep conversations relevant to their channels. Introduce yourself in #welcome-introductions, general chat goes in #general, and suggestions go in #wiki-suggestions.
